BDO Development Capital Fund invests €10 Million in Blueface to launch international expansion

In its seventh and largest investment to date, the BDO Development Capital Fund is funding a €10 million investment in Blueface, the leading Unified Communications-as-a-Service Provider to businesses, enterprises and carriers. The investment will be used to accelerate significant international expansion plans by Blueface. Blueface currently has over 50 high-skilled employees operating from its headquarters in Dublin. It plans to increase this number by 80 to over 130 by 2022 across its markets in Ireland, Europe and the US.

In its sixth investment to date, the BDO Development Capital Fund is leading a €6.35 million investment round in Broderick’s, the family-owned and managed confectionery food company which was established in 1984. The €3.2 million investment in Broderick’s by The BDO Development Capital Fund, along with Enterprise Ireland and bank funding, will drive further international growth by increasing production capacity thereby satisfying increasing demand for its products both internationally and domestically. The BDO Development Capital Fund provides development and growth capital for established, mid-sized and profitable Irish companies to assist them to achieve and accelerate their export-led growth plans.

BDO Development Capital Fund invests €9M in Netwatch Group as part of €19.5M funding round
Dublin – 6th July 2016

The BDO Development Capital Fund is co-funding a €19.5million investment in Netwatch Group, Ireland’s leading Ireland’s leading high tech security specialists.

It is the largest funding round in Netwatch to date. The BDO Development Capital Fund is providing €9 million, the largest of its five investments so far, with Bank of Ireland providing €10.5million debt financing.

Netwatch was incorporated in Carlow in 2003 by co-founders and joint owners of the Company, David Walsh (CEO) and Niall Kelly (CTO).

BDO Development Capital Fund leads €6M investment in the Obelisk Group - Cavan-based telecomms & utilities infrastructure specialit, Dublin 25 April 2016

The BDO Development Capital Fund today announced a €3million investment in the Cavan-headquartered Obelisk Group, a specialist in service provision to the telecommunications and utilities sectors since 1996. The investment is backed by matching bank funding which together will drive the expansion in the telecommunications and power infrastructure sectors in both the UK and South Africa where the Obelisk Group is already well established.
