Fran is a dedicated finance professional with a passion for funding and supporting Irish SMEs and brings over 15 years’ experience in Corporate Banking. She has worked with a diverse range of businesses in the Irish market and brings considerable transaction experience which includes private equity investments, MBOs, shareholder restructures & succession as well as acquisition finance.

Fran is based in Cork and will further enhance the regional focus of Development Capital Fund II, a €75 million fund managed by Development Capital which invests and partners with high growth SMEs.

Commenting on Fran’s appointment, Andrew Bourg Co-Founding Partner of Development Capital, said “I am very pleased to welcome Fran to the Development Capital team. Fran is recognised in the market for her commercial approach and brings a proven track record in deal origination and execution. We have a track record of investments from right across the country with 7 of the Fund’s 11 investments to date being based outside Dublin. Munster is a stronghold of established, mid-sized, and profitable indigenous SMEs. Having a local presence will enhance our ability to partner with such SMEs in the region to assist them in accelerating and achieving their growth plans”.

Prior to joining Development Capital, Fran was Associate Director in Bank of Ireland and played a key role in establishing a regional office in Cork for the Corporate Banking business. Fran is a Chartered Accountant, while also holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Information Systems from UCC and a Masters degree in Corporate Strategy from NUIG.
