Some of the Development Capital team spent an enjoyable day working in FoodCloud’s Dublin hub last week.

A big thank you to all the FoodCloud volunteers and staff that helped to coordinate our involvement and provided us with the opportunity to learn about the work they do to create a sustainable and positive impact in our society.

The Development Capital team spent the day packing orders and helping with deliveries in the Dublin hub which were redistributed to FoodCloud’s charity & community partners, supporting those in our communities who need it most.

FoodCloud’s mission to enable businesses to contribute to their community in a meaningful and practical way, is one we can fully align with in Development Capital. As a team and individually we make conscious choices to make a sustainable and positive impact in our investee companies and society.

FoodCloud has redistributed more than 112,000 tonnes of surplus food through its technology platform and physical hubs, which amounts to 266 million meals and the reduction of more than 349,000 tonnes of CO2- equivalent.

We look forward to continuing to partner with FoodCloud and are already planning our next volunteer session for this fantastic organisation.
